UK Government: Protect The Oceans

Our oceans are in crisis. Industrial fishing, oil drilling, warming temperatures and plastic pollution threaten one of the most important ecosystems on earth.

To help our oceans recover and thrive, scientists say we must create a network of global ocean sanctuaries that are off limits to industrial activity.

Thanks to over 5 million people around the world taking action, in 2023 world governments finally agreed to a Global Ocean Treaty that makes it possible to create these sanctuaries. This is a massive win - but there’s still a lot more to do.

Right now only 3% of our oceans are properly protected. To protect at least 30% by 2030, we need at least 60 governments to urgently sign the Treaty into law .

Join the global movement and tell the UK government to deliver ocean protection now!
