New oil and gas? The government is asking us.

Tell the government what you think about new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea:

New oil and gas? The government is asking us.

Just months after hosting COP26, claiming to be climate leaders and making promises about climate action the government is shockingly considering allowing oil and gas companies to explore for more fossil fuels in the North Sea.

The COP26 agreement is becoming exactly what the government said it must not be - a ‘bunch of meaningless promises’. Experts are clear, to avoid the very worst of the climate crisis government's can't approve new fossil fuel projects.

But before approving new oil and gas drilling the government is legally obliged to ask the public what we think - this is our chance to convince them not to do this and tell them that we say no to new polluting fossil fuel drilling.
